‘I read the last pages of The Tears of Monterini last night. I had other books on the go so was saving your book until I could give it all my attention and immerse myself in reading your very moving novel. The deep friendship of the main characters of Yacobo and Angelo was so overwhelming and I really felt that I was in Monterini/Pitigliano and walking around the town with them and the other residents.
